Holy Union Checklist
A. BEFORE CALLING THE CHURCH:
1. Have you been together for at least one (1) year?
2.
Pick a date, alternate date and time for service.
B. MAKE APPOINTMENT TO MEET WITH CLERGY:
1.
Notify Pastor or staff of your proposed dates for service.
2.
Holy Unions and appointments to meet with the officiating clergy may be scheduled up to three
(3) months in advance.
C. BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT, DISCUSS:
1.
Review the Holy Union services and choose the service that best
fits your needs.
2.
Choose a location to hold service.
3.
Select a place to hold reception.
4.
Choose who will provide food.
5.
Will you have music? Live music? Taped music? Who will perform?
6.
Will you have flowers?
7.
Will you have pictures? Audio tape? Video tape?
D. MEET WITH THE OFFICATING CLERGY:
1.
The officiating clergy has the final authority in determining the order
of worship.
2.
The order of worship must be in final form no later than one (1) week
prior to the service.
